Leslie A. Varkey, O.D

Dr. Leslie A. Varkey's passion for providing the very best in eye care inspired her to start the Downtown Vision Source.  Dr. Varkey's priority, first and foremost, is the health and well being of her patients.  She and her staff operate the Downtown Vision Source with this as the driving principle.  Dr. Varkey is committed to establishing a bond between her patients that will enable her to serve them for a lifetime.

Dr. Varkey is a 2007 graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry. While in optometry school, Dr. Varkey received clinical letters of excellence and was an active member of the honor society.  Prior to that, she attended Texas A&M University where she received an undergraduate degree in biology. 

Prior to starting the Downtown Vision Source, Dr. Varkey was in private practice in Conroe, TX.  Dr. Varkey also worked in a neuro-ophthalmology practice where she gained valuable experience in multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, ocular tumors, and other neurological conditions involving the eye. Dr. Varkey is certified as a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. Her expertise include hard to fit contacts, glaucoma, diabetic and hypertensive conditions of the eye, as well as primary eye care.

During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.
